Course Details
Our 6 week Intermediate class is ideal for dogs who have a basic understanding of commands. Suitable for dogs over 12 months, this course helps refine existing skills, improve focus, and build reliability in everyday situations.
Your course starts with a live online session followed by fun, practical in-person classes. This step-by-step approach ensures you and your dog have a solid foundation for learning and success!
Get ready for training with expert guidance on:
β Your Dog's Development & Behaviour β How age, environment, and experiences shape behaviour.
β Assess Your Home Environment β Discuss how we can create a safe, confidence-boosting environment for you and your dog.
β Socialisation Done Right β Not all socialisation is beneficial. Weβll discuss how to expose your dog to experiences safely and positively.
β Choosing Training Tools β Are you using appropriate leads, harnesses, and treats for your dogβs needs?
β Reading Your Dog's Body Language β Many problem behaviours stem from missed communication
Build real-life skills and confidence with hands-on training, including:
β Reinforce Essential Cues & Build Reliability β Strengthen your dogβs ability to respond quickly and consistently to key skills like stay and recall.
β Loose-Lead Walking & Handling β Teach your dog to walk calmly by your side, even in exciting environments.
β Recall Training β Learn why your dog may ignore recall cues and how to make coming back more rewarding.
β Polite Greetings & Socialisation - Practice greetings and reading body language.
β Building Confidence Through Play β Fun activities to improve social skills and strengthen your bond.
Our Intermediate classes are suitable for dogs from 12 months old. Each class is 45 minutes long with a maximum of 6 owners.
Classes are held indoors, with an outdoor area for play and toileting. The Riverside Community Centre has free parking.
